The long anticipated federal election is expeted to be called today and Liberal leader and Prime Minister Mark Carney will ask the Governor General to dissolve parliament. Carney is expected to kick off his campaign in St John’s, Newfoundland tonight with MP and newly appointed Fisheries Minister Joanne Thompson. Campaign offices and and signs were popping up all over St John’s on Sunday morning.
