The Flotel Endurance in Bay Bulls

BAY BULLS, NL – A fishing boat passes the Floatel Endurance, a floating offshore semi-submersible accommodations and workshop platform July 14, 2025.

It is designed to accommodate workers on the West White Rose offshore oil production platform currently under construction on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland at the Cenovus Energy White Rose oil fields. Approximately 300km south east of St John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

This floating hotel is overall length (LOA) of 105 meters and 77 meters wide. The Endurance accommodates 440 people in single bed cabins and has large recreational areas, including mess room and various types of day rooms, gymnasium, sauna and cinema. The unit has a telescopic gangway for personnel and supplies to transfer between Floatel Endurance and the host installation rig. It has helideck, two deck cranes, a large lay-down area as well as workshops and warehouses to support the logistics, construction and storage activities. It also has a fully equipped hospital.
