Skeets Having A Bar-BQ In The Park
ST JOHN’S, NL – It was Friday evening. Six pm. There were four skeet guys, a bar bq, a cooler, two children who looked like they were in elementary school, and a teenage boy. The lads had their hats pulled down. It was a getting breezy. Everyone seemed to have a beer in their hand like you would at a bar bq.
As an older guy walked by the four skeets with the three kids he said, “Good day for a bar bq.” “Great day for a bar bq” one of the skeets replied. Later, as the older guy was leaving the park the wind was picking up and smoke from the bar bq wasn’t drifting up. It was coming off of the bar bq at a right angle, level with the ground, and blowing away before it had a chance to rise. As he passed the smoking bar-bq the old guy said, ‘going to have a bit of weather tonight”. “Ha Ha Ha,” laughed the skeet who seemed to be in charge of the smoking bar-bq. The park was almost empty. The only people throwing around a frisbee were a couple of the skeets and the teenage boy. A hurricane named Larry was due to arrive in four hours.
