PETTY HARBOUR, NL – Conservative Party of Canada leader Pierre Poilievre and his wife Anaida found love in each others arms among the crab pots in Petty Harbour during an election campaign stop in Newfoundland on April 1, 2025.

There was, however, little love between reporters and the Conservative campaign organizers when they tried to prevent them from photographing parts of the event or asking questions of Conservative candidates on the public wharf in the fishing village near St John’s.

There was lots of squawking.
